The same design and installation work we do commercially, specified for a house. A system chosen for the space it actually has to heat.
Installation quality decides how well a system performs for the rest of its life. If pipework is not fully vacuumed with the right equipment, a heat pump will never run at the efficiency it was sold at. Our installations meet the standards set out in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority and Auckland Council good practice guide for heat pump installation.
What that covers
- Sizing done properly
- The room is measured and the system specified for it. An undersized unit runs flat out and never quite gets there; an oversized one short-cycles and costs more than it needed to.
- New installations
- High-wall, floor console, ducted and ceiling systems for houses and new builds.
- Replacements
- Taking out an old or underperforming unit, including reusing existing ducting and grilles where they are sound.
- Servicing afterwards
- The person who installed it is the person who comes back to service it.
Ducted, or single split
A ducted system serves several rooms from one unit and hides in the ceiling. A single split heats one space well for a good deal less. Which suits depends on the house, and you will get a straight answer rather than the more expensive one.
