Quoting and site checks
All offers are subject to a final site check of the site, its location, available power, and the position of indoor and outdoor units.
Set Point Technology reserves the right to inspect the client site and add additional fees for work at height, and where pipework is longer than 3 metres or non-standard.
Generally, travel will be charged if the site is further than 5 km from our Kingsland base.
Electrical work
An additional electrical fee may be charged for wiring and a certificate of compliance if a standard residential circuit is found to be insufficient for a heat pump installation, or if a dedicated circuit and residual current device or miniature circuit breaker is required and needs to be fitted to the switchboard. This is generally quoted in advance of the installation.
If the outdoor compressor cannot be mounted on a concrete base, an additional fee will be charged for a Polyslab, plastic rails or steel wall brackets.
Payment
Installation and project work. Orders are confirmed with a 50% deposit, with the balance payable on completion.
Service, maintenance and repair. Invoiced after the visit. Payment is due by the 20th of the month following the date of invoice. Where no account has been established, payment is due on completion.
Maintenance agreements. Invoiced per visit or monthly, as set out in the agreement.
Set Point Technology reserves the right to retain ownership of the property and products supplied until the account is paid in full, at which point ownership and title pass to the buyer.
Warranties
Warranty periods for consumer or business clients may vary across brands but are generally 3 to 5 years. Warranty claims are generally made and held directly with the supplier of the brand.
Statutes these terms sit alongside
These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Construction Contracts Act 2002, for domestic and business customers respectively.
Additional terms
Additional terms and conditions are included on and with the sales agreement or service agreement for a particular job. Where those differ from this page, the signed agreement applies.
