Industrial HVAC & Design-Build

From a single retail air conditioner to a full industrial refrigeration plant, scoped, built and maintained as one project rather than handed off between trades.

Refrigeration and air conditioning technology keeps moving. Set Point Technology combines 38 years of experience with an active interest in what is new, and designs for New Zealand conditions rather than to a catalogue specification written somewhere else.

Whether you want one contractor for the whole job or are already working with designers, engineers and builders, the work fits around the teams already on site. The Woodpecker Hill fit-out ran alongside the design, construction and electrical teams from the start.

Systems we design and build

Supermarket refrigeration
Multi-cabinet systems, cold rooms and freezer rooms run from central plant.
Air conditioning
From a single retail unit to plant serving a whole building.
Ventilation
Balanced air, extract, and make-up air for occupied and production spaces.
Fume and dust control
Extraction where the air itself is part of the process.
Heating
Including heat pump plant sized for industrial volumes.
Cold storage
Long-term storage held at temperature, with the monitoring to prove it.

Monitoring built in

Wi-Fi control and monitoring, daily temperature reports by email where health and safety requires the record, and sensors that raise an alarm on a temperature rise or drop before stock is at risk.

Design and construction, signed by the same person

Registered with Auckland Council as a Producer Statement Author (PSA 1902), approved to author PS1, PS3 and PS4: design, construction and construction review. Most installers can sign for the work but not the design, and have to bring in a consulting engineer for the PS1 your building consent depends on.

Here the design is done, certified, installed and certified again by the same person — and the Independent Qualified Person who inspects it every year afterwards (IQP 110611) is that person too.

IQP 110611 (SS9) and Producer Statement Author 1902, for commercial systems that generally require a building warrant of fitness.
